The Thirteenth Tale has me under its spell! I am tempted to rush through but at the same time I am enjoying the puzzle of what lies just below the surface and beyond reach. I was hooked from the very beginning when Margaret describes her great love affair with reading, a feeling that I could totally relate too. How is the book grabbing you? I suddenly have a strong urge to reread Jane Eyre and have massive amounts of tea!
Happy reading!

I haven't gotten very far in the book, only three or four chapters. I would love to be able to read for hours at a time.
My father and step-mother have a book business. For years my step-mom had a used book store. My dad goes to estate sales and book sales and buys books for their internet book business. One time he found a first edition of The Great Gatsby. There is so much of this book already that reminds me of my dad.
I'm really enjoying it!! Good choice.
I always thought that having a small used/new book store would be my dream job! There is just something special about people that love books and reading. I'm glad you are enjoying the book too!
Love this book. It finally arrived a few days ago and I was immediately hooked. Can't put it down, yet hate to see the end come. I ordered the large print version which is easier on my tired old eyes so I can read longer! About 3/4 finished. Great choice for our first book of the new book club season. Thanks. I also think it is time to reread Jane Eyre. The mood is so similar; it takes me back many years to the Brontes.
It really is a book that grabs you from the start! I am almost finished and had to force myself to put the book down and get ready for work. It stays in the back of my mind as I am trying to unravel all the clues. I'll probably be unpset that I didn't figure things out sooner but then that is part of the fun!
Great book, with LOTS of descriptive writing says KJ. Jeanne says she has actually resisted the urge to read the end to make sure it has a happy ending. Imagine that! Does that mean she's caught up in each and every word? KJ :-)
Wow, this is quite a book if Jeanne has managed to not start at the end! Sneaking a peek at the end of this book would have been totally confusing.
