Well I finished the books several days ago and it is still on my mind. It didn't end quite like I expected it to but then I'm not really sure how I thought it would end. The end raised some interesting questions about telling the truth. Is it always better to tell the truth? Do you think that Margaret is doing the right thing with the information that she has? Did you figure out who was who before the end? Can you tell I am anxious to talk to somebody about the book?
Happy reading!

Book prescription
I love Dr. Clifton! When Magaret gets sick on her birthday he advises her to "eat, rest and take this..." and then he hands her a prescription to read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes. "Take ten pages, twice a day, till end of course." Now that sounds like a prescription I could follow!
Do you have certain books or types of books that you like to read when you are sick or feeling low? What about around the holidays? Any favorites that are must reads? I always enjoy reading some type of a holiday themed book at Christmas. Usually I want some light fare such as a trashy holiday romance. Of course there is nothing like a good Christmas murder mystery to help combat the overwhelming joy of the season for when you are feeling somewhat scroogish. And then there are the wonderful holiday movies...but don't get me started!

December Book
The Thirteenth Tale has me under its spell! I am tempted to rush through but at the same time I am enjoying the puzzle of what lies just below the surface and beyond reach. I was hooked from the very beginning when Margaret describes her great love affair with reading, a feeling that I could totally relate too. How is the book grabbing you? Check out Diane Setterfield's website at http://www.thethirteenthtale.com for some interesting information or visit the Yorkshire Moors at http://yorkshirenet.co.uk
I suddenly have a strong urge to reread Jane Eyre and have massive amounts of tea!
